What
In the Nobi web application, you can snooze an escalation instead of only closing it.
When you close the escalation and snooze it, no new escalations start for a set time. In other words, fall detection for that housing unit is snoozed for a certain amount of time.
You can also see this on the dashboard. You can remove or change the snooze at any time. When the snooze time is over, Nobi sends alerts again when it detects falls.
You can also use a presence button to snooze a housing unit for 15 minutes.
Why
Sometimes you may want to snooze an escalation. For example, if a resident is sitting safely on the floor, you don’t want to keep receiving alerts. Or, if helping a resident who has fallen takes longer than expected, you can snooze the escalation for a certain amount of time. This stops staff from getting too many alerts about a situation they are already handling.
Detailed steps
- During an open escalation, click on the red resident card on the dashboard. Please note: if you’re using the mobile app, you can go straight to the escalation from the ‘home’ menu.
- Click on Next steps.
- On the fall escalation details screen, click Close escalation.
- A default snooze time of 15 minutes is selected. You can make the time longer or shorter with the dropdown menu. Choose from 15 minutes up to 3 hours, or Don’t snooze.
- Then select a reason for the escalation. If you are not sure of the reason, a manager can add this information later in the Escalations overview.
- You can also assign a resident and an escalation cause.
- When you’re finished, click Close escalation.
- The dashboard now shows a blue banner confirming that the escalation is closed.
- The snooze time also appears on the resident card. To remove the snooze, click on Snoozed until.
- You can make the snooze time for fall detection longer or shorter with the arrows, up to 8 hours.
- To end the snooze, click Stop snooze in the bottom right.
- A blue banner confirms that the snooze was removed.
The housing unit is no longer snoozed, as you can see on the dashboard.
