What

Integrations connect external systems to Nobi. August Health is a master data integration. Master data integrations connect Nobi with the system your community already keeps its resident records in.

Resident and housing unit information is entered once, in August Health, and is sent to Nobi automatically. Nobi then sends falls to August Health as a care note.

Why

The resident list in Nobi matches August Health. When a resident moves out or changes their housing unit in August Health, Nobi updates to match. Care staff maintain resident records in one place, which means less double work and fewer errors.

When a fall is closed in Nobi, a care note is added to the resident’s record in August Health straight away, with the exact date and time the fall escalation started and ended, which care staff member closed it and the cause.

1. What to set up before you start

  • You need your Organization ID from August Health.
  • Your community must already exist in Nobi. You can have one master data integration at a time.
  • Add the integration in Nobi with your Organization ID.
  • Map in this order: community, then housing units, then residents. In the community step, select your facility from the list Nobi retrieves from August Health.
  • Map the housing units you already have in Nobi to their rooms in August Health. Rooms you do not map are created as new housing units, without rooms or devices.
  • In the resident step, residents already in Nobi are matched to their records in August Health, to avoid creating anyone twice. Residents without a match are created from August Health.

Nobi syncs everything once when mapping is finished, then updates as changes happen in August Health, with a full check every hour. You can also click Synchronize on the integration page to update straight away.

2. What comes from August Health

  • Residents: once the integration is live, every resident comes from August Health and residents are no longer added in Nobi by hand.
  • Departments: housing units created from August Health are placed in a department named AugustHealth. You can move them into your own departments, and they stay where you put them.
  • Care levels: created for your community as “August Health level” followed by the level.

3. What Nobi sends back

Falls detected by Nobi are sent to August Health as care notes and tagged as an observation. They are created on the resident’s record in August Health when the escalation is closed with a cause involving the resident. The note records the start and end date and time, the room, who closed it and the cause, and it links to the escalation in Nobi.

4. What you complete yourself

  1. Turn on smart monitoring and confirm the privacy and image settings for each resident. Smart monitoring is off for every resident who arrives through the integration.
  2. Move the housing units created from August Health into your own departments, and assign their rooms and devices.
  3. Set up escalation procedures, monitoring configurations and snooze.
  4. Assign pendants and other peripherals.
  5. Set the bed or sleeping zone in shared housing units.

A daily email lists for managers the residents who are not linked to a housing unit, and residents whose smart monitoring is not set.
